what is the best atifreeze to use in a 99 ls1?

Default what is the best atifreeze to use in a 99 ls1?

I am fixing to change my thermostat to a 160 and I am going to flush the radiator while I am at it. WHat atifreeze should I replace it with?

Since you just swapped the T-stat just use Dexcool. These cars used Dexcool from the factory and that's what I have always used in mine regardless of the setup. Even though it's considered an extended care product, I recommend to change it annually.

i flushed the entire system about 2 years ago and have been using G-05 ever since

go green man!! when i flushed my system at 77k i had chunks of brown dexcool and there was corrosion in the cooling system because of dexcool! we use the green in all our cars now!! dexcool should be only used on the newer cars systems with the pressurized secondary tank!

Green here on my 3rd motor. Dexcool sludged up my heater core and I had to change it out.

Whats the best way to flush the system out good enough to cange to the green anti freeze? I know your not supposed to mix the two.

It does not matter what color and/or brand you chose. Just do not mix coolants. Get it flushed and replaced with whichever color you want and stick with it.

change any coolant regularly and you wont have problems. doesnt matter what color if you treat it right.

I change mine every couple of years, and it has always been orange coming out.

I woudl never wait 75K on a dexcool car.
