Need a good speedshop in WA
I am wanting to talk to some shops about a cam and possible head swap on the vette. If any of you guys know a good shop that does sound work that would be awesome.

Anyone of those shops will do you right!! Great guys runing the shops very qualified mechanics. I use two of them all the time, the third I just havent had the chance yet..lol but I've heard nothing but great stuff about him as well.. We're semi lucky here, our guys have tons of experience and are racers themselves so safety to them is as critical as going fast. They wont let a car leave the shop that isnt safe.
For instance I had Ellis (in Monroe, I live next to Portland OR) doing something for me and while he was working on it he noticed something else that would have caused me great problems. He took care of it and then told me about it later saving me a huge electrical issue. Some shops I've been to put the blinders on dont want to see anything else but what they're being paid for.
If I had more money I'd have a project in all three shops..lol

It is yellow I really like it. After I get some work done it will be quite a bit faster than my cobra. I don't think I went to a meet after I had put on my new clutch and pulley on it. It was a bitching car but I had to return to the GM side...something about the sound of a pushrod....

Speed secret's tune's there customer's car's with the LS-1 edit program.
Don't you need a dyno tune to get a cam, let alone a head's and cam package to run right?

A mustang dyno or load bearing dyno is a tuning tool yes, but it is not the only way to tune. You could just drive it and do the same thing. All be it easier if its strapped down in a shop but all it does is simulate driving on the street. You can simulate a whole bunch of real world driving conditions in your shop with a load bearing dyno like a mustang dyno. OR you could go out and drive it on the road and tune it the same way. And I think Speed Secrets uses HP tuners as well.

I know this one guy that looks like a Santa on easter that is located in Monroe somewhere, he did an awful crappy job on my former '01 SOM Firebird that turned out with just 443hp on the rear wheels. He knows nothing. He's careless. His customer service is horrible. Oh wait.... is that Ellis??...

I always thought aftermarket cams (in general) would make cars run "dirtier" than stock. Ellis proved that wrong. On my last emissions test, the car burned LESS THAN HALF the emissions it did when it had the stock cam & stock tuning.
