Nice looking, It is funny.. IMO, I really don't see these type of intakes as real Cold Air Intakes.. the air filter and pickup points are inside the Hot engine bay.. !? the Air filter needs to be boxed off wtih only allow outside air feeding the intake... that is way I view as a CAI system...

Maybe the should just call them Hot Air Intake systems.

but that is my 2 cents..

Just the early stages. I'll bring in the air from the lower ducts on the ss front end. Its still on the engine stand. The other intake is from my tbi motor. Hey, everybodies 2 cents is worth something.

Hey Jay, Spectre performance modular kits work very well and are not that expensive. Probably $200 to $250 will do it. I just hope it fits once I get it in the truck. I may have to do some adjusting on my hot air intake. Ha! Just kidding. I'll make it work just like I did on my tbi. Now if I can just get my ac figured out. Hows yours?

Def creative. I might have been inclined to mock it up, and have it welded so it was one piece. Would look much cleaner.

But...if you think you will need to adjust it and tweak it or change it in the future, the way you have it is fine. I mean..its fine the way it is... Shouldnt have a problem breathing thats for sure!!

It should breathe really well, I will need to adjust after I get it in the truck. I may have it welded and I agree it would look better. Sounds like a pretty nasty 5.3 in your ride, I like it.
