Default Engine coolant leak plus white smoke.

So I was driving my car and then I get on the highway. All of a sudden I notice that I am leaving a big trail of white smoke behind and that the engine temperature is skyrocketing. I pull over, wait for it cool down and try to drive it again, same thing. So I get it towed to my place. I suspect that it was the engine coolant. So I pour a whole thing of coolant into my car and the car sucks it all up without any resistance. I notice that it was leaking the coolant out from the bottom.

Any ideas what broke?

I'm pretty sure it's the radiator.

Water pump is toast or blew a hole in a radiator hose? Is it coming from under the front of the engine? Is it coming from directly under the radiator?

I think its from underneath the front of the engine (its not a ls1, its a 3800).

I couldn't really see because it was dark.

Well it may or may not be the water pump, but the hose that connects from the water hose to the engine blew off.

I gotta get that replaced, then see if there is something wrong with the water pump.

^^^Well that would be a big problem. Hopefully it was the only one.
