Thinking about doing a custom dual exhaust setup..... Would like to see some pics and feedback on yours.... I am wanting to run Lt's and just have the mufflers dump before axle...

This is the only pic I have of the exhaust. Its a 2.5" system with a summit x-pipe junction no mufflers dumped before the axle. I loved the way it sounded at WOT, almost had a Nascarish sound to it. I took it off cuz I needed some quiet time when driving so I went with the stock exhaust and a cutout. Also here's a vid as well.

It sounded really quiet compared to my open cutout right now. There isnt much drone at speeds with the open x-pipe, but it had a wicked idle and sounded very clean up top too. I've heard many 3" true duals and I think the extra volume makes the sound very unbearable with lots of drone. Im contemplating going with the x-pipe again but run them side-by-side in the stock location then over the axle using some XR1's and the 3" tips I have now.

Damn, I love the sound of those duals. I saw those pics and I wanted to do the same minus the mufflers cuz a full suspension is next on my list of things to do. Id like to hear that setup on a cammed LT1.

Hey man looks great.... you guys have alot more clearance than I would have though... is there anything you need to do crossmember wise or whatever to get the pipe as close as you can to the underbody? also does anyone have pics with mufflers like flowmasters or somthing so i can see how they have it setup

i think you might have it mixed up, single chamber dont have much restriction.
by the way i had Y pipe with spintech bolted on, they did sound good, but i wanted to go with something else like X-pipe i heard it has better exhaust scavenging than Y pipe, and i wanted to try new muffler at the same time.
my car isnt a daily driver, only on weekends if that. im looking for what makes more power and has a decent sound.
yes, im using same x-pipe/muffler as the link. The 3 inch piping has less ground clearance most people run 2.5 inch. but im on 28 inch tires and stock springs clearance wont be issue.

Jet Hot long tubes, reduced to 2.5" after the collectors, Summit x pipe, and Dynomax bullet mufflers.
A local exhaust shop bent all the pipe and welded everything up for me, and hung it. They charged me an arm and a leg, but I think it was worth it.
