Strano front sway problems
Has anyone else had problems with the Strano Front sway bar hitting the power steering when they make a sharp turn? I recently installed a UMI k-member, UMI front LCA's, strano springs, koni shocks and a strano front sway. The sway bar rubs the tie rods on the power steering whenever I cut the wheel sharply. Any ideas?

I was always told and read that you should do it with the suspension in the loaded/neutral position to prevent any unnecessary preload on the bar. I'm not sure how significant of a difference it makes honestly. I would probably do whatever Sam Strano recommends, or anyone who's had a lot of racing experience.
It would obviously be a lot easier if I could do it all with the wheels off.

How do you know this is what's going on? I use long endlinks, longer than stock in fact which keep the bar even further from the tie-rods than stock. Part of the reason is because I have seen very short links cause bars to hit (not mine, this is a first) the tie-rods.
Are you sure the bar isn't in upside down? This has happened in the past on both front and rears. If there is interference, it'd be there all the time. I'd also caution you to check the mounts that the bar itself bolts to. The break, and that allows the bar to move when subjected to a twisting force (like when you turn), and can be causing the bar to move and contact the tie-rods.
Before we go much further, I'd like to see some pics (you can post them here because I'm sure there isn't a problem that's not easily solved since this is the first time I've heard such a complaint with our bar, and maybe only the 2nd or 3rd time ever.

That is correct. The bar mounts to the body. But the steering rack and endlinks mount to the k-member and a-arms respectively. However this has never been an issue with the UMI stuff.

I will try to get some pics shortly. I remember when initially installing the bar it rubbed. I will look further into the matter. *on a side note: Sam, I was not bashing your bar in any way, just asking a question. I did not mean for the post to sound negative.
