Yeah but those 4.10 are gonna break before it makes a difference. In the eigth i picked up 1.5 tenths and the et gain only benifited from getting out of the hole better. Only took 3 passes to break the smaller weaker 4.10 gears. The 3.73 are still holding up and have cut off about a full tenth.Your gonna need a good set of drag radials or slick to make any use of the extra gear eithier way though so dont expect a huge difference

definitely a huge difference, feels as if the car picked up 50rwhp across the board. 1st gear w/ the nitto's is fun

Mine decreased.

Basically 3.42's in a 12 bolt I couldnt 60 due to SEVERE bogging issues, couldnt burn out, almost a year later I find out my bolt ons w/ stock tune was pulling 6 deg of KR, BUT I could still finish the race in 3rd which gave peak power.

Swap to 4.10's and nothing else I HAD to shift to 4th and I was not at peak hp which meant I couldnt even better my 60 foot. With line like a 6k dump (mind you also a slipping LS6 clutch) I would get LOW 13's but couldnt get back into the 12's

I have since fixed the tune, I make 340 SAE corrected rwhp vs 326 and the KR is gone.

We will see this year what i can do. Oh yea Tex clutch in the car too!

theres a reason the cammed only guys are running big gears.

it matters when you have the suspension to get them to hook.

I'll let ya know soon as i throw in the ls7 clutch.

fair enough, but would it matter on a bolt-on only LT1?

I have some 4.10's at home waiting for install this may. Basically, i'm expecting a great "seat of the pants" difference on the street. I've never been to the track but i like to say that my car would get into the high 12's. I have a stock 10 bolt and i'm pretty sure it would break if i launched hard and hooked really well. I'm assuming it will only help on the track if you can hook without breaking the 10 bolt. I really just bought it for more fun on the street.

on the street the increased acceleration will be awesome, on the track if you can get it to hook it should net you shorter 60 times and 330 times, so yes it would matter...

I got them for the street myself....

im going to spray them most likely w/ a 28" tall tire at the track.

I knocked three tenths off the car, as long as the track held the tires.
