Default How would this cam be on stock heads?

Im thinking about getting a cam and wanted something close to these specs:
212/220 .515/.550 114LSA
Would this be good for a cam only with stock heads and 1.6 RR's??

Well what are your plans for the car? I personally would do a 112lsa.

Its my DD and only has 45K original miles. I want to keep the power band in the low and mid range. Its an A4 with 3:23's. Eventually ill build a motor but i just want some more power for now. Why would u go with a 112lsa? I dont want a choppy idle really.

It would be fine on stock heads. I wouldnt get a cam with such a wide lobe separation personally. Check out the Crane 227 (210/224) known to really perform and sounds pretty stock with a slight lope.

The standard 112lsa is usually way too wide anyway, 114 is just making a bigger mistake yet.

Another vote for the 227. I haven't seen the cam guide but I'm guessing they list the lift with 1.6 rockers. And it's only $285 at summit so if you order it from thunder racing make sure they price match it for you.

on the guide I calculated the lift based off of 1.6RR's assuming that almost everyone who swaps cams also upgrades to 1.6RR's over the stock stamped steel 1.5's and would want to know the according lift numbers.

Out of curriosity what cam would be commended if you wanted to the upgrade the cam with stock heads and eventually switch to LE stage 1 heads?

Thanks for the insight

I'd personally wait to do the cam until then and either get the LE1 camshaft or get a custom grind ground for your setup. You actually might even be able to find a used LE1 camshaft for sale on one of the fbody boards and run that until you get the heads.
