Default What kind of power to expect? S88/408

Build details....

Iron 408ci
Diamond -28cc pistons
Callies compstar crank
Callies compstar rods
Custom grind cam from cam motion
FAST 90/90
AFR 225

OFI T6 kit w/ S88 turbo
4" DP
4" Exhaust w/ dynomax ultraflo muffler

Built T56
Textralia exoskel clutch
Dana S60 rear w/ 3.54 gears

Have all other supporting mods and suspension too. Looking for maybe 15psi on pump for the street and 20psi and good gas for some good track times. What kind of power should I be looking at?

Anyone else w/ a similar combo have any Dyno/track #'s.

Thanks for your input!

That is the same kind of setup I am going to run. I am going to run a 408 with a 236/236 cam and Dart 225 heads. I should get a LS6 intake manifold but I am not sure about the FAST 90/90 setup. I might do that. My goal is 15-18psi street and 22-25psi on race gas. I will be using meth and a A2W IC. My goals are about 800-850 to 1000+ plus, I am a M6 car as well

You should be able to get 1000-1100rwhp out of one of our S88's with the wick turned up.

I say somewhere 850-900rwhp with pump 15psi
track times can be anywhere low 11s and low 9s depends on the weather, weight of the car, 60ft and how good can you drive
lol

im running a similar set up except its a 402 stroker ls2. im running the same heads. getting the long block from va speed inc. they told me that i should get about 900rwhp on pump gas on 16-18 psi. and 1200rwhp on 20lbs. you must configure the efficiency of your turbo too. usually if your running 20 lbs on that much of a stroker you gonna need a race gas tune or run a meth kit like i am

I have a cutoff switch, but have not installed it yet. I still havent even put on the connectors on the ends of the wires yet. Sill a big work in progress of course. Spent alot of money in a pretty short amount of time. Its getting there though.

Nice choice on the rear end how do you like it??? I love my Strange engineering danas60. allot of people opinions on this rear is that its the best rear-end there is out for are cars its lighter than the 9in and stronger def a great discison. Here are the stats on mine…. 35spline gun drilled axles Detroit truetrac posi 4.10s/ bmr relo kit for the lcas/pst steel driveshaft/im putting 535rwhp threw a 3800 vig and its putting down low 1.4 60s on a 17in/r35/315 nitto drag radial its runing 6.7s at 102 in the 1/8th......Its a kick *** rear end great choice.

Looks like alot of us doing very similar setups. I'm running the same AFR heads as well but found the springs were not the best to get proper seat pressure for a turbo set up. I went with the crane 99893 springs now and also Ferrea super alloy exhaust valves to handle the heat. Anyway, nice setup buddy.

So because a shipping company lost a spring in transit to your house he is at fault? Did you pay for shipping and since you most likely did, did you opt for the insurance? If you didn't this is more your fault then his. Also this is not the place for you to talk about this, don't ruin a perfectly good thread.

To the op of this thread, your car is going to be sick.I would like to see what it does when complete.I will hopefully be doing the same setup this coming winter.I would like to see how the TSP short block works out.
