Default ignition key is stuck!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Just finished tuning the car and i went to take the key out the ignition and it seems stuck. I can turn the car to the on and off position but can't turn it to where i can take it out. Should i force it to turn all the way. Anyone else had this problem before???

Check to be sure that the trans. is in park, and that the ignition key is in the off postion.

A trick I use numerous times on other makes and models with an auto trans is to 1st put the vehicle in park (make sure its in park), shut off the engine (make sure the ignition is in off position), then give the steering wheel a tug or try to turn it so that you can lock it - you'll hear a click indicating that the wheel is locked. The key should be easy to remove. You may need to do this several times.

Hope this helps

that happend to me about a week ago. i have a tendency to pull into work, put my ebrake on, then just shut the car off. first time i did it i thought i was screwed, cuz it wouldn't start.

needless to say, i felt pretty dumb.
