your not giving enough info. is it a dd? whats your goals? are you going to use quality parts with a 383 or a 396? if not spend the money for quality parts on a 355. 355's can be built much faster with quality parts then a 383 or 396 thats been half assed. what about letting the motor breath are you going to do h/c?

If your on a budget do 355 with H/C.

i went all out 396 but what do you really need, i would say put a blower or turbo on it if you dont NEED a rebuild

I voted 383 only b/c thats what i'm going with right now! Its going to be an expensive project, but think it will be worth it! (using AI for mostly everything)

yes its a dd and im going prebuild golen short block. im not aiming for any time or hp im just out having fun.

from some massive research i noticed noone make a blower for these cars. correct me if im wrong but i figure cuz they dont fit under the cowling. i have found superchargers for them but nothing im interested in

how do you mean? supercharger and blower are 2 words that are interchangeable. If you mean roots style or screw style, like B&M 144 or a magnacharger you could adapt one to work but there wouldn't be much gain over a good procharger or an s-trim for the street.

just having fun id go all forged 350 and nitrous for a dd (maybe a 355) id do that becouse it would be best on gas and handle nitrous well. with a h/c setup also
