Default steering collum

car was in a previous wreck. hit on the passenger front. the steering collum is angled down and towards the left side of the dash. anyone in collision that can steer me into what to do or look for?

forgot about this post.. any some help on this? steering shafts/knuckles everything looks good and car turns, collum is just croucked

Get a new column. They are designed to collapse in a collision. I got one from hawksthirdgenparts.com because the tilt in my DD Z28 broke.

it didn't collapse or break, it just sits more to the left than right. I'm going home soon on leave for x-mas, i'll try to take a picture, but for now here's a quick reference ( . ) instead of ( . )

Maybe in the wreck, the driver's momentum during impact hit the steering wheel and mooved or tweaked the column.

There are two nuts that holds the column to the dask mount. Loosen them and see if you can adjust it's location. There is some play ...
