1982 RX-7 LS1 swap
Alright. So I just purchased an RX-7. 1982, clean-ish. Body's not very pretty, but that's fixable. My main question is this: I want to do an LS1 swap, but I A: Don't know a whole lot about swapping engine, and B: Will the LS1 fit? I'm sure someone makes a kit for this, like they do with the 240SX. The stock rotary starts up, and has roughly 127k on it.

I am doing a 93 ls1 RX7 swap right now. I am using the mounting kit from Hinson. www.hinsonsupercars.com You might go there and see if they offer something for you.

Hmm.. Those are mostly for second generation cars. This is becoming an issue to find things for. I contacted Hinson to see if what they sell fr the 93+ will fit.

My rx's have Ferd drivelines in them and the kits were originally from Granny's Speed Shop. I bought the cars 1/2 done and finished them out myself. I have not dealt w/ these people but they seem to have everything.

I have a 79 in my side yard.. I have been thinking of making it one of my other project.. 3rd inline right now behind the 71 Nova and the 48 Ford Truck.
I will be interested in what you learn.

Haha, sounds good, guys. Thing is, my budget (Which I expected to exceed, just not THIS much) was 4k. Everything needed will be roughly 6k. Which severely cuts in to my "Buy a Corvette within 13 months" budget. So I'm on the fence over doing it. If I don't the stock rotary still runs, so it'll be a great car to just *** about in.
