Default torque converter for daily driven C5

How do you guys think the Vigilante 3600 would perform (track and daily driving) in my full weight 2002 Coupe? Also, what's the STR for this particular converter? I'm doing the entire cam/head/convertor swap at the same time so no #s right now. Cam is similar to MS3/heads are prc stage 2.5 LS6.

performance wise it will be excellent. Might be a bit loose in daily driving, especially with stock gears.

I also DD my car with a 4k stall. You will get people thinking your racing cause it will slip. But I wouldn't take it out ever again unless I blow the tranny. Then I may go 4400

I been DD a 4k stall for a week so far. At first i thought I made a mistake but now im getting use to it. Kind of annoying on hills with lights and slow traffic, I think a vig3600 would be the same way.

+1

I'm on my 4th stall (if you count the stock one). The stock is I believe 1800; the second was a Midwest with a 3200 stall; the third was a Coan with a 3400 stall; and now I dd a Yank TP4000, and it's by far the best of the bunch. Even my mechanic said, "A converter that actually works."

I broke down and bought a 3600 Vigi from somebody but havent put it in yet. I was wondering why almost everybody around me (and they know about cars too) was telling me that a 3600 might be a little too much for DD. *shrugging*.
