Heads...
With the mods i have in my sig, and cc306 is about to be installed, what heads should i get??? i also want to get a stroker kit, maybe 383? and eventually a procharger...so should i port the stock heads, or get aftermarket heads and which ones??????

From what I understand, some of the fastest guys are running both. The difference is that one of them spent thousands on a set of aftermarket heads and then spent more getting them ported, and the other one spent just over a thousand getting their stockers ported and is just as fast. LE or AI (I believe) are the two that usually have the business.

Most people assume aftermarket are vastly better and that WAS the case with the gen 1 motors.
On an LT1 the stock castings can work awesome, BUT they have a small chamber which might be a bad thing for a boosted stroker and it is getting harder and harder to find good cores, so many have been overheated or modified already. For a boosted stroker I would maybe consider Advanced Inductions version of the Trickflow heads but that is the only aftermarket one I would consider. Not impressed with the Dart or AFR offerings and from what I have seen the Edelbrocks are an outright joke.
Even if you don't want to use Advanced Induction the Trickflows would still be the place to start and you pretty much have to have them ported.

I agree with the others.... If you plan on running boost go with the Ported Trick Flows due to the larger combustion chambers and extra material in the runners area they add to allow for more porting since it will help with the forced induction, and if you go NA then use the stock castings ported by Lloyd Elliot or AI. Both do awesome work and both get my vote.
