Quicktime bellhousing question... Got my quicktime bellhousing. Went to put it in and realized I have no idea where the bolts go...
There are 7 of the one on the left and 8 of the one on the right with nuts.
Where do these go? Does it matter?

The black bolts are for bolting it to the engine, although 1 short. I addressed this with them and they are adding a bolt to the packs now. The grade 8's are to bolt the motor plate to the bell housing on the bottom of the motor for it to met the 6.1 sfi rating.

Totally different bolt set to what I got....seems very hit and miss !!!!
I got 7 M10x1.5 Allen key cap screws to bolt it to the engine.
Then about 8 3/8" nuts and bolts for the aluminium plate, to bolt it to the BH I assume.
Also...check the height of it. My BH was 1mm taller than the stock BH. Add the Alu plate, and that becomes about 4mm. Thats way over 1/8" for you guys.
That will place the trans further back ( or engine forward ) and also mean the slave is that distance further away from the clutch.
I used mine without the plate, and just trimmed it to cover the open part of my BH
Also, check the mounting holes to the T56. Mine were threaded 3/8"
instead of the correct M10x1.5
needless to say, I am less than impressed.

Thanks for the link. I'll have to measure mine and test fit it on the trans first too.
The gaps in my bellhousing for the slave hyd. lines are much much bigger. I will get some pictures and post up. Seems like this is still a product in development

Stevie, they changed it it looks like. The bellhousing is shorter than the stocker without the plate. The plate is .120 thick and is steel now. With the plate installed it is .060 taller than the stocker, which is acceptable to me as some of the twin disk stuff is a lil tight anyway. They redid the bell where the master/slave ports are, and it is correct now as is the bolt holes in the bell for the tranny to mount to. Seems to be a VERY nice unit after these changes.

Pretty damn basic changes IMO. So how the hell did they get them wrong in the first place ?
And a "thanks, we'll update that in future versions, we appreciate your feedback" isnt exactly the sort of support/response I wanted from them.
What about the customers who were supplied a flawed product, like myself ? I dont see any money coming my way for R&D

I just noticed another major problem with this thing.
Stock bellhousing on the right, McLeod on the left.
Now heres my quicktime bellhousing.
The starter opening??? Its totally open on both sides of the bellhousing ? Maybe I'm just stupid here but isn't this a problem?!

I measured my block as having 27mm of thread/pocket depth. QT flange is 8mm thick.
So if you try and screw in a 40mm long bolt, that bolt is too long by 5mm.
