Tranny Problem
Well I've recently been having trouble with my tranny. Its a 99 ws6 with a 3000 stall,headers,3 inch x-pipe,and a ported and polished throttle body and the tranny is built with a shift kit and some other stuff. The problem is when i floor it from a dead stop when it goes to shift into second its like it hits neutral. When i let off you can feel it go back into gear. It seems to me like it dont even try to shift. But sometimes it will shift fine with no problems. I changed the fluid recently and the filter. The old fluid didnt look bad. It also wont kick down when you floor it at 60 mph, it just goes into neutral.
Thanks

Well today on my way home from work it did something else. I took off from a light normal and after it shifted into second I punched it and it vibrated and shook a little and took off. What could that be??

I would suggest that the band is worn or maybe the servo is not holding properly under moderate acceleration.
Either way, IMHO it is an internal issue and should be diagnosed by a Pro. Let us know what your friend has to say tomorrow.

Well tonight on my way to the Indiana Pacers game, I was heading up the on ramp and i put it in second to accelerqte up the on ramp and when i went to shift into drive it was instantly neutral. I was prolly about half throttle and before it would shift fine at half throttle but it wouldnt at full throttle. On my way back I tried it a few more times and it shifted fine everytime. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks

everytime you drive it without getting it checked out as suggested numerous times already, you are possibly risking thousands of dollars in damage. Quit driving it until you get it checked out.
