New girl from Illinois!! So I recently joined this site and I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Taryn from Illinois. My boyfriend is a member of this site and has been for a few years (98Redbird). We are currently in the process of an engine rebuild-yes, I said we- so I figured I'd join and learn as much as I possibly can. Hopefully soon I'll have one of my own but for now I'll just work on his. Anyways, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I'm looking forward to learning as much as possibly can and bringing some helpful info of my own once I get a little more familiar.

Hopefully as soon as the motor is back together and in the car we are going to try and head up there. It's looking like it will be back together within the next week or so but not necessarily ready to race. I guess we will just have to see.

Welcome! I have to teach my wife how to drive stick, maybe she won't b*tch so much about me buying parts for the car. Now all the women have to do is recruit 2 more women to go to the track or help build a car. Maybe some day we'll have a decent amount of women interested in cars.

Welcome, it's always fun when the better half is involved with the car build. My wife is a car nut which makes it that much better for me. She has helped me install a set of Kook's LT's and a Racetronix Fuel pump as well.

My girlfriend has a 98 TA and I thought it would be fun to have a chic thats into the same thing, and it is for the most part.
But damn, now I got two money pits! Not so fun, I told her she has to buy the parts and ill help install them.
My car is not even done yet (and prolly never will), until then she is on her own. lol

my wife helped me with doing the cam/intake/Oilpump on our LS1 too... its cool to have the women work with us on projects. its a fun date

Welcome. I used to live in Marion and went to SIU. I'm friends with Paulc87 so if you F-body guys start hanging out, I'll probably meet y'all this summer when I come down.
