How much power and abuse is the stock T56 known for holding?
the more i mod my car the more it goes to the track. right now its all bolt ons, cam, juice, full suspension minus k member, soon to have a texatralia clutch in it and im wondering when should i start worrying about my T56 screwing up? or is it one of those things as with 10 bolts some last for a long time and some dont last under stock driving? is there a "weak" link in the T56's?

i have a spec stage 3+ clutch, moser 9", cam nitrous and full suspension car have had no troubles plenty of 1.51 60foots and hard power shifts with my 26 11.5 et streets
but i also heard 600 hp is about all they want but usually a miss shift is were they die at so like i tell my friends that race my car with me if it don't go in gear easy stand on the clutch and try it next pass
however i can't wait to hear more on this topic from more knowledgable people

mine has over 140,000 on it, has a ram vds clutch, and over 400rwhp, and i spray a 150+ shot. it has taken tons of abuse, all tho it dont shift like it used to and is in desperate need of freshing up, it has never let go, plus it has killed a few posi units too, and still going. I say if you know how to shift then they will hold anything you thro at them on the street and alot of track abuse too.

i think its more driver error that destroys them more then anything. ive seen 800+rwhp cars be fine with them. all i did to mine was a mild rebuild (syncros and keys)and steel forks.
there actully a pretty beefy trans from the get go other than the aluminum forks that can tweak under hard shifts

Stock T-56 here, over 300 passes and 67K miles. Learned to drive stick on it.
Been through racing wile stock, 3 H/C setups, a H/C setup + Nitrous, and driving to school and back for 3 years strait in traffic.
here is a vid of only some of its abuse

I honestly think its the luck of the draw, but driver plays a big part of it. I have missed a few gears at the track, I can probobly count them all on my hands, I have never forced a shift, never pre-loaded the shifter anticipating a shift, and on the street I really baby it around most of the time since now a days, the car is useless on street tires.
Hell even tought an Ex-GF how to drive stick on it...
