Default My first time ever at the track

Well, today was my first time ever at the track. I did horrible. But everyone has to start somewhere lol.

Here is my best slip in 5 runs.

R/T.... 2608
60FT... 2.1572
1/8ET... 8.3182
1/8MPH... 90.91
1/4ET... 12.5602
1/4MPH... 116.24

Car weighed in at 3780 with me in it and a full tank of gas. (I am 240lbs). All runs were made on Sumitomo HRTZ II 245/40/18's.. I really wanted to get very low twelves. But it didnt work out for me.

I was still having tranny issues forcing me to granny shift. I am going to get a set of drag radials and take out my tranny and have RPM transmissions work on it for me. I hope with some drag radials I can get into the 11's.. I actually had one run that spun pretty badly off the line and still had 119MPH in the 1/4.

What do you guys think?

Here is the video link of the run. >>>>>>>PUTFILE LINK<<<<<<<<

12's for your first time out isn't all that bad. Like you said you have to start some where.

Getting some good tires with surely help your 60' and your overall time.

Practice is going really help also

Based off your signature you have more like a 10sec car. With the right combo of some sticky tires, light weight wheels and a great launch you might touch 10s! Keep practicing and you'll get!

Not bad for a first time out! Get some sticky tires and the gears, then all you need is more seat time and with that kind of power in your sig, you're going to drop the ET like a rock.

I'm sure the tranny issues are hurting you, as well.

Yeah I need to get my tranny rebuilt badly.. I cant hardly get it into second gear anymore and 3rd gear keeps popping out while I am driving. So I am going to do that then go back to the track and see what happens.
