Default whats up with my 60 ft?

I went to the track saturday and on nitto DRs at 18psi and still on stock stall I could only cut a best 60ft of 2.08. I know the converter is killing me but I spun some on the 2.08 60ft but when I dead hooked I was pulling 2.09-2.10's.

My best pass of the days was:
2.0902 60ft
5.6960 330
8.6122 1/8
84.99 1/8
11.1181 1000
13.2578 1/4
105.53 1/4
which let me down considering I also have milled and slightly worked 241 heads. One of my buddies videoed most of my passes and Ill post /em here when he sends them to me.
I have also been throwing a code for low voltage knock sensor input

From what I gather a 2.0 is the best your going to get on a stock stall. I ran the other night and got this.

60' 2.260
1/8 8.638
MPH 87.1
1/4 13.180
MPH 107.97

No traction at all 1st 2nd on a crappy cold/damp track. Stall is going in asap.

umm, I got a 1.9 on a stock stall, but I guess thats really around what you should be getting with a stock converter. You should get a 3500 stall and shed like .6 off your 1/4 and possibly 1.6 60fts.

my buddy has an 01 b4c lid longtube/duals only car that went mid 1.8s on bfg drag radials. 120k mile car with literally those 2 mods only. car is also tuned..

i managed some mid 1.9 60' with my BONE STOCK 00 z28 with 273 gears...i think the stock stall is good to about 1.85 or so with a hard hook and a few bolt-ons.

On my old '98 Z I was lucky to get under a 2.0 with DRs when it had a lid & cutout & the stock stall. I put in a 3200 Yank & changed nothing else, starting cutting low-mid 1.7s & dropped to 12.6-70s from 13.20-40s.

Judging by your sig, you won't have this worry too long.

My Formula has the stock converter and 3.23 gears and I'm only getting 2.0X 60 foots most of the time on a m/t sticky (unless racing in sub 500 DA air then the 1.9x 60 foots will appear). From everything I've read, the stock converters kill so much time on these cars.

I've heard of people dropping the DRs to 14 -15 pounds for better hook.

It's plenty possible. I went 12.66 on the stocker, before I put in the converter and came out the next weekend and ran an 11.99.

12's on the stock 'verter is a good goal, but if you really want to see the ET drop, slap a stall in it.

FWIW, I got best 60' of 1.91 on the stock converter.

Can this be hung on a wall somewhere? I think 2.0 from cars like you all drive are is the norm. What in christ name is wrong with a 2.0 60'? A PRO STOCK CAR IS ONLY A 1.000 QUICKER. At the end of the 1/4 they are running 6's. Where was this guy running? Yes the 60' is important. The most important factor of any drag race, for any car, any class, is the tree. Does anyone, young or old want to argue that?

Assuming this person ran test and tune? Most tracks have a lane where cars with slicks run. Try and get into the next staging lane after they run and have put down rubber. This might assist you a little. Cars with street tires don't put rubber at the line. Infact they remove it. Test and tune isn't like NHRA & IHRA races where pros prep the track after each class.

I have been runnin T&T at a shitty IHRA track. They line slicks and drag radials in the groove and street tires out of it. I took out the spare & jack, front swaybar, back seats and my nitrous bottle since Im gonna be runnin all motor. It was a solid 60-80 lbs

Back in 2000 I drove a 2000 Formula with chromies, FTRA, cutout, lid, filter, !jack spare, stock converter to a high 1.9 and a 12.85@109. Also drove a TA with same stuff to a 12.97. You have to hold the rpms high and roll out fast but don't just take your foot off the gas, you have to do a fast release.
