Default Lq4 ?

I picked up a 6.0 engine for free, Need to know how to tell if it is a lq4 or lq9. I know about the vin# thing but I don't have a vin# Also It does have 317 heads. I have a head taken off, the piston has a slight dish to it but not sure what the difference is between the two to compare.

LQ9 will have flat tops. If they have a dish, she's an LQ4.

you have a 9:1 compression LQ4 on your hands

so... either mill the heads to up the compression if you plan on going N/A

or

Throw an FI setup on there...
