Well what year harness did you use, you will need a 98 ect sensor and run a extra wire inside to the connectors on the right side kick panels, both the coolant & oil pressure wires connect there and it is either the 220 or 230 connector, do you have a diagram of these connectors?, let me know if not I can get one tomorrow, thanks jason

pin k coolant feed to cluster , car side, engineharness coming in is pin A 220 connector, so i would move the pin from A to B in the engine harness & run the extra wire to coolant sensor , let me know if you need more help

99 and up ect are serial data to the cluster, 98 ect will make your gauge work it has 3 wires, you will need connector also, green wire pin C goes to the gauge

I guess I am not understanding how I install it or where to get it from. Is it just a plug in connector or what

it is my understanding we need:

Temp sensor that goes in the head

Connector needed

Granted I do not think the pix shown are the exact parts needed since it only shows 2 prongs.

After all this, I should just buy an Autometer gauge, it would be more accurate, the sensor is $21 and the connector is $15ish (and that is if the local has it....) and i know exactly how to wire that up....

I already have the sensor in my driver side head and it is hooked up through my ls1 harness. All I need to do is connect it in the cab i guess? Where I have no idea though

you have a 98 with 3 prongs?
that extra wire is what goes into the car (green wire pin C goes to the gauge)
IF I am reading this right....

the pics aren't accurate, if you have the 98 three prong just find your wire coming from there and hook it up to pin K, should work
