Default What FI set up should I use with 414ci

Well I am going to rebuild my motor so I can do a FI set up. What comp should I build it to and what set up should I do? Turbo? or S/C? Whats the advant and disadvan about both? I was looking at prochargers D1 or a F1. What would the power diff between both or the power diff of a s/c vs turbo. This is a 6 spd street car and I will take it to the track sometimes. The heads I have are the TEA/TFS 235 with a ported fast 90/90. I would like to make 750rwhp on pump gas. Please post any info or your dynos. I am new to the FI scene so any info will help. Thanks

If you like Prochargers then go with F1A with 13psi I see no problem getting 800rwhp+
with pump gas since your engine have a good set of heads and Intake.

you may need to change the cam too AND the 10Bolt LOL

Keep us posted man and your old N/A Setup was sick BTW.

If thats all you want is 750rwhp a D1 will do it and will be the easiest, most reliable, etc. The F1 is lounder, more top end but will make more obviously and better suited with your engine size. The D1 would make 750-800rwhp though but be tapped out.

809 rwhp at 14.4 psi of boost from an ATI ProCharger F-1A on 93 octane fuel our Mustang Chassis Dyno. This is on an LS2 402 with AFR heads. Bob

Thats on a mustang dyno, so it would probably closer to 850rwhp if not more, plus the F1a probably has a bit more in it. Better match compared to the D1, really it all depends on goals though.

Go with one of the T6 turbo kits out there......slap a S91mm on it, 750 would be a joke.

i believe its more of a preference thing. if i could ever do a turbo car i would. unless you want the loud whine of the centri blower.

You can't go wrong with either setups (i.e. Turbo or Supercharger), every kit has it's pros/cons but it's up to you to choose what you feel is best for your application/goal(s). My being in California, my options are limited to Procharger and STS. I choose to go with Procharger instead because although STS kits do put down decent numbers, where I live that turbo would get torn up big time.

Turbos are more efficient at making power and will never have belt slip. Its a no brainer. Then again, you don't have much of a brain to work with. :yup:

Here is a 8.8 compression 427ci with a D1 at 12lbs,ETP 225's and 232 duration Cam.Car drives like stock, idles at 800rpm and makes a great average power very reliably. The owner has about 60 passes,15k miles and numerous broken driveline parts to prove the power.A real pleasure to drive.

The power gain shows what 2 degree's of timing does. The car is still very detuned for the driver.
