is there a stock shortblock record??
I was just wondering if so what it was. we just took a new setup out and layed down a pretty decent 1/8th number. stock 05 6.0 shortblock, stock l92 heads, crane cam, victor style intake, and alittle boost. it was not in a f body but a s10.
it went 5.82 @ 120 in 1/8th @ 10lbs boost

3265 with me and ice in it. 1.36 60' on the 5.82@119.52 pass. It did go 1.35 the next pass but after I put it in high gear it banged like it was lean. I think now somehow the two step was engaged. "Stock suspension" truck.

Stock 05 escalade longblock, LS6 intake, 250-300 dry shot, 3300lbs raceweight, TH-350, 9"
1.302 60' off the footbrake, on 325 MT DR's
I would would rather not post an ET, the car runs for money.

RDTA - pretty healthy cam compared to my Z06 cam. But damn that thing flies..
Frank02L - hey man, i didn't realize this was the truck your involved in. Is it the Isuzu? The pump is enroute to you as we speak. This truck has me chompin' at the bit to get my bucket running. And I was afraid this engine wasn't strong enough to put my 3200# stang into the 9's..... hahaha. Oh, do you know what exhaust housings he's running on the twin MP T70's? i realize it's got more cubic inch than my little 6.0 but i'm getting .58 housings for mine. I want quick spool-up and a tight converter

everything i have done has a big cam in it. lol I have one with a texas giant in it and twin 70's. its hauling ***, only been on the track twice. and has the cars class MPH record. off foot brake. I dont see why u would have any problems running in the 9's.
oh the ex housings are .68's I think. lol they was my old turbos, but i cant remember for sure. i had them on a 12.1 355 sbc.

Darin, Yeah I'm in charge of parts getting here and Brian (RDTA) has done quite a bit of the labor. The truck is 3265 and I wouldnt worry about going 9s. Should be pretty simple. The cam won't make that big of a difference, I mean so what if its 50-100hp difference. You'll still be able to make your goal of running 9s, and you can turn the boost up a little to make up the camshaft difference.

RDTA - thanks for the info, my .58's will most likely suite me well for my goals. Also since the motor is stock my compression is 10:1 from the factory. I'm real excited about experimenting with high comp and boost. Most i ever worked with was 9.7:1 and it was fine. Also i'm planning on running E85 so i think the comp will be fine.
Frank - next time you order make a note when checking out and i'll adjust the discount you guys are getting on stuff. My brain is overfull so the chance of me remembering is slim to none. Good luck with that truck and keep us informed.

If you are talking stock longblock with no boost or any power adder, I think someone on these boards went deep into the 11's by just doing proper suspension mods. IMOP stock long-block means no power adder or otherwise, just old fashioned muscle.
