Suspension & Brakes - UMI Single Adj Panhard Bar Question

So I've got some 315/35/17s for my rears and I'm trying to make them fit appropriately with my single adj Panhard Bar, however it doesn't seem to be as easy as I would have hoped. The car is not lowered btw, stock ride height.

I'm not sure if I'm simply not getting it or what, I let load off of the suspension and adjusted the bar so it would fit perfectly, put the bolt back through, then reapplied load only to find that I've gone nowhere. The driver's side tire has proverbial miles of clearance while the passenger side is so close to rubbing even after some BFH that I cannot even drive the car.

So what am I missing here? These tires should be able to fit, I'm perplexed as to why its not working like I figured it would.

Definitely need some help/advice to get these tires fitting like they should, thanks everyone.

When I adjusted mine I jacked the rear up under the axle so there was still load on the tires and adjusted it that way. Worked great for me

When I put it on, i think we put the car on the ground and two of my buddies pushed against one side of the body until it was centered then we ran the bolt through.

That was going to be my next step, did you not have it jacked up at all when you did that?

no, it was on the ground, I should have gotten an "on-car adjustable" PHB in the first place haha.

Yes, I am now kicking myself for not doing the same thing, I had no idea it was going to be a battle like this though.

I guess thats a retarded notion though right? Not expecting the worst? I'm working on an LT1 for christ's sake.

I'll try what you said and hopefully that will solve my issue. Any other suggestions anyone?

If you can spring for the "on car" adjustable phb do it. I ordered mine with my 9" after reading up on the ones you have to take off to adjust. I'm very glad I got it instead.
