Question Berger Panel Questions!!

alright...so i'll probably be doing the berger panel on my car either today or tomorrow...i dont know if this is a stupid question but here it goes: do i have to sand the factory paint off or can i just spray over it and not worry about it chipping off?

Also any suggestions are welcomed...btw what kind of paint are you guys using; flat, semi-gloss or glossy and wat brand?? I have read some people that have done it do not use clearcoat on it, will it chip easily if you dont? Thanks fellas

I've used a bunch of different kinds and brands of black. The one that works best for me is Krylon Satin Black for plastic, I got it at Wal-Mart. You have to wet sand your old paint with some 400 and 800 grit sandpaper.

Link to the Krylon spray paint I used.

Thanks....................I've never heard of anyone using scotchbright until now, I would just wetsand it and hit it with some primer, then top it off with some Krylon Fusion Satin Black spray paint.

I had mine done, and I did ask for it to be gloss ( just didn't care for the flat look). The guy used GM onyx black and 2 coats of clear......5 years on the car now.

Do you have any pics of the side? If so please PM. I'm interested to see the Rims, if they are ZR1's.
