Default Help!!! Air is sucking down from everywhere!!

I would appreciate your HELP guyz, I have fouled 2 sets of spark plugs and 1 o2 sensor from the passenger side only!

I am blowing smoke!

I am also pulling a **** load of air through the PCV hoses leading back to the intake, I also have a catch can and if I squeeze any of those hoses that lead to the catch can, the car boggs down alot but doesnt shut off.

If I cover the oil fill tube with my hand, I can feel it sucking my skin down.

If I pull the dip stick out and put my finger to cover the tube it also wants to pull my skin down from my finger.

If I squeeze the hose that leads to the valve cover from the top of the UMI 90mm TB (opposite of the IAC motor) the car also wants to bogg down.

All this after a Harland Sharp 1.8 RR and a patriot gold spring kit install!!!

Should a sealer been used to bolt the rockers down?

I would really appreciate any help!

Thanks in advance
Zeke

If your heads are ported then yes you need to use some sealer on the rocker bolts but if the heads are stock then it doesn't matter

So if you have ported heads you need a certain sealer on the rocker arms or this will happen?

the red hose that is hooked to the passenger side of the throttle body I assume is supposed to be hooked to the valve cover. That is where it's supposed to pull the fresh air from. The only thing I can think is that the port on the throttle body may be blocked by the gasket. You can tell if you pull the hose off the valve cover and see if you can blow through it in to the throttle body. I would also blow back the other way in to the valve cover. I say this because it shouldn't suck from the oil fill. I'm just sure you have some vent plugged like either the port for the throttle body or the valve cover.

It is hooked to the valve cover.
The gasket is fine, I haven't touched it.
I can blow through hoses no problem.

Thanks Mvvette,

Anyone else have some ideas for me to try and fix this problem?

so you can blow in to the throttle body? I mean something has to be plugged. The PCV sucks from the intake and the red hose going to the throttle body is the fresh air inlet. If something isn't right with the inlet then it would try to suck through other places like the dipstick tube and the oil fill.

you have a vaccum leak, classic. The dodge trucks are the same way when the gasket under the intake manifold goes you are getting engine vac in your crankcase, when you pinch off a hose you are changing the vac and the iac motor is idling down, can you get a scantool to check the counts of the iac motor??

Would my Fast 90 be the cause?
Would that be the reason I may be getting oil in the combustin chamber?

Thanks I really appreciate your input!!

after I installed the new catchcan, for ***** and giggles I took the pcv valve off, and I am still experiencing the exact same problem. I currently don't have a pcv valve on it right now.

if you iac is at zero, you most definetly have a vac leak. Could be the intake, gaskets, hoses, you just have to start searching, use some carb cleaner (sparingly) and spray around the intake and hoses, if it bogs then you found the leak.

Went to the dealer and bought an Acdelco pcv valve and now that bitch is back to normal!
Iac is at 31-34 steady!

But is still smoking a little bit, Im gonna beat on her a little to try and get some oil from the intake and hopefully it will STOP!

Thanks Everyone RPMauto, for your inputs!
