stripes, wheels and hood for 2001 Z-28
i bought it in January and the previous owner put the 1969 badges on the car. you guys know of any stripes and hood that would resemble something a 69 Z-28 would have worn. also wheels i'd like to get something that could be powder coated black and have a polished lip.
i've seen the stripes on the fenders and end at or just after the door handle but i don't know if that was an SS option. as for hood, doesn anyone make a cowl hood for a 2001 model?? just never seen one.
thanks
michael

Yes yes yes yes, www.americanrcing.com
look for the Torque Thrust Ds. The come with chrome lip, and dark shadow grey spokes, nice. As for the Hood http://www.vfnfiberglass.com/site.htm
they have a 4 inch cowl hood that resembles the old first generation cowl nicely. Hope this was some help.

The stripes you're refering to are the hockey stick
stripes. I did a photoshop of them on SuperDave's car
a few weeks ago:
I don't know who makes them, but I really like the look.

My 2000 red Z28 has the older 1970 Z28 style dual black stripes on the hood and rear spoiler. I like them a lot and would also like to get a cowl hood. Goodmark I think, makes a steel version of the cowl hood for the 98 up cars. I have a steel Goodmark cowl hood on my 83 El Camino and it fits as well or better than the stock original hood. Goodmark is also the supplier of official GM restoration parts.

PendragonZ , thats what i was loooking for and thanks SHARKYMARK for the site. i think i'll skip the center stripe but love the hockey stick stripe
you guys know how he got that Z-28 badge on the grille? i wanted to get that done before the sell of the car was final, but haven't seen an a grille insert or badge that look liked it could be fitted to a grille.
one more guys, 2" or 4" cowl. i like smooth and simple cars but i tend to lean to the outlandish most the time. at the same time i'm concerned the cowl is gunna obstruct my view more than i would excpet it too thanks for the help

I would go with the 2 inch cowl. I think that 4 inches is
a but much, and may obstruct view.
There are two types of those hockey sticks. One has a sharper
bend in the curve, the other is more gradual, like what
I photoshopped. The more gradual one has the stripe
extended to the rear of the car. Of course you don't have
to put the whole thing on if you don't want to. chop chop.
