Default Roller rocker arms ?

i work at pepboys .... i know gay job but they have 1.5 crane cams roller rockers on clearence i can get them for like 5o bucks they say they wont work on my motor but who knows the part number is 11744-16 this is the site http://performanceparts.com/part.php?partID=7225

thats the exact part i have a zz4 block stock cast iron heads centerbolt valve covers

Sounds like a deal to me. Just read the fine print, common knowledge is they require guide plates.

When they say they will not work most often its because they are not for center bolt valve covers or for a different size rocker shaft but I bet money its the valve cover bolts.

I would but them and sell them for $100 or something and make some money.

well theres 2 left at my work if anyone wants the other one pay for the part 60 bucks plus tax and shipping and i will send you it

i think when they say they wont work, is vortec heads use self alighning rocker arms, and stock heads dont have guide plates, if you install the guide plates you will have no prob running these rockers, you might need to get a tall style valve covers but thats all, so you will need to pull your heads and do screw in studs and guide plates,

I ran those with vortec heads and guide plates. Also used aluminum valve covers without all the crap that goes between the rockers so there was no need for a narrow body rocker.

i think the narrow body rocker is only necessary when running those adapter plates, i may be wrong but i am running big bulky rollers and the covers i got for my build didnt fit, so now i need to order some from summit .
