I guess I'm not seeing what you are trying to show. It looks like it has some evidence of overheating but not all that bad. It could be resurfaced and that would clean up. That stuff around the fastener holes is just dried loctite.

That has heat spots on it, but what's kind of weird is that it looks like one of the pressure plate bolt locations is "cracking" off. If that's the case, wouldn't want my ankles to be near that if it separates and grenades into shrapnel...
Might have been overtorqued when installed.

Clean it up, dye check it for cracks...... I don't think you will find any at all. I would not be scared to use it again, unless you have something else in mind.

The flywheel had already been resurfaced once, so from what I understand is that it can only be done once. It already had the shim installed to make up for the resurfacing difference so I guess it's time to get a new one... I really think it was torqued down too much because I had to lock the flywheel in place and I was literally lifting the engine on the hoist trying to get the bolts to break loose.

Whew, ok then that's good to know. I'll probably end up doing a new clutch so a flywheel wouldn't be a bad idea now. The flywheel is original and was resurfaced at 130,xxx miles. Probably time for a new one anyhow...
Thanks!

no where near as bad as most i see, **** the worst i've ever seen had a the whole thing heat spotted but literally had 2 grooves 1/8" deep throughout about 1/2" wide, it was pretty bad.
