I've only seen two personally and they were both way worse than that...honestly I bet it woulda been good for a while longer, not that I would chance it of course.

I guess I'm not seeing what you are trying to show. It looks like it has some evidence of overheating but not all that bad. It could be resurfaced and that would clean up. That stuff around the fastener holes is just dried loctite.

That has heat spots on it, but what's kind of weird is that it looks like one of the pressure plate bolt locations is "cracking" off. If that's the case, wouldn't want my ankles to be near that if it separates and grenades into shrapnel...

Might have been overtorqued when installed.

Looks like they used a tad too much locktite (or RTV) and it seeped out of the holes. I doesnt look cracked to me, just hot spots like mentioned already.

Clean it up, dye check it for cracks...... I don't think you will find any at all. I would not be scared to use it again, unless you have something else in mind.

That flywheel is in great shape compared to mine. I put this one back in too after it was resurfaced. It works perfectly fine for me.

The flywheel had already been resurfaced once, so from what I understand is that it can only be done once. It already had the shim installed to make up for the resurfacing difference so I guess it's time to get a new one... I really think it was torqued down too much because I had to lock the flywheel in place and I was literally lifting the engine on the hoist trying to get the bolts to break loose.

It just looks like a few small heat spots-very minor.Around the bolts it looks like crap buildup, not cracks.

Whew, ok then that's good to know. I'll probably end up doing a new clutch so a flywheel wouldn't be a bad idea now. The flywheel is original and was resurfaced at 130,xxx miles. Probably time for a new one anyhow...

Thanks!

Looks like the normal glazing from excessive heat. A new flywheel is never a bad idea if you have the money.

It doesnt look that bad. Hell the one I took out of my car looked like a mini mountian range and some of the metal from the flywheel had actually melted on the disk

no where near as bad as most i see, **** the worst i've ever seen had a the whole thing heat spotted but literally had 2 grooves 1/8" deep throughout about 1/2" wide, it was pretty bad.
