Check out Ls1trucks.com I was thinking about doing the same thing in my burban then decided it would be much better in the f-body and the LT1 can go into the burban!

If your going to install the engine into the chassis with the existing transmission I would suggest using the 1" setback mounts that we sell, You can also use your existing converter with the addition of a crank spacer and bolt kit..... The tv cable bracket can be purchases through advance adapters or s@p.

Do these brackets allow the use of the Stock Transfer case and drive shaft? If Im not mistaken the 4x4 needs to be changed for something newer when switching

My 1 inch sebacks would get you close but I fear will not mate right to the trans, you may fall about a 1 inch short. You could either move the mounts on the chassis and redrill the holes or weld in new lower mounts. Just a few options, I would drop it in bolt it to the trans then dictate where the mounts need to be.....

what if we use the mounts with the existing holes in the k member and just fab a new crossmember for the tranny?

I have their engine mounts in my 1981 Blazer K-5. The fit great. The engine is in a great location on my crossmember. I already had a 700R4 transmission in my Truck and didn't have to move the tranny crossmember any.

I just need to see how much I am going to have to notch for the A/C compressor now.
