DTC P0300 (engine misfire detected)

Default DTC P0300 (engine misfire detected)

WAssup guys. jus got my car back today wit new tr224 112 lsa on a 2002 m6 and ses light came on. could this be caused by the cam? its kindah hard to tell if car is missing or not wit cam. it also has a hard time idling @ first start. any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it could be cam. Once the car stumbles, trying to find an idle, it can set that code. Did you drill the TB? I used an 11/64ths drill bit for mine. That and the predator, and now she idles good. Glad you got it back. Enjoy.

That is normal when installing a cam. You will need to EDIT it out.

Thanks guys. predator or ls1 edit? prices? which is better? will either get rid of ses, and will it fix-hardtime starting @ first start. sorry guys dont really noe much bout this pcm diagnostic stuff. any more info would be great

Don't know about the predator. LS1Edit will fix the SES and hard start. Edit is more involved than using a hypertech or predator, but Edit is more powerful.

You could also find a good shop and have them tune it.

Yep, Predator can turn the SES off, and clear SES' anytime they are set. The Predator is a very ppowerful tool as well, just have to rely on someone else to write the tunes. Much like if you have your car tuned at a shop, they write your tune, not you. And when you mod more, you can adjust again. Depends on your preference.

I get that all the time, you need to do some tweaking to the misfire tables and you'll be fine. It's common with larger cams.

Where are the misfire tables, in Edit? What changes do you recommend for the 0300 code?
