Guys with fast n/a cars
First of all I'm talking about those of you going better than 11.0's. What ci? Are you running solid or hyd? What about trans a4 or m6. Also I'm interested in keeping the car 3400lb+. If you haven't figured it out by now I am trying to come up with a recipe myself to go fast the FUN way.
Thanks

I ran a 10.71 at about 3500 lbs on radial tires. This was with an A4, a 10-bolt rearend with 3.42 gears, and on radial tires.
The engine? An MTI 422 with a hydraulic cam.

Wow Colonel!
How driveable was the car?
n2o, check out the drag racing forum, they have a sortable list that will show several fast n/a's and list their ci's.

Drivable? The only thing that some might think wasn't real drivable about it was the 4400 stall...but even that wasn't bad at all, IMO. A 4400 stall behind a 422 would be about a 3800-4000 stall or so behind a 346. The car had AC, full interior, a large stereo system...everything. I loved the car in that form. Heck, I even took passengers on 10 second runs!
After that, it turned into a 9 second racecar. With my '02, I'm again headed in the 10 second true streetcar direction.

Re: Guys with fast n/a cars
I sold my last project, the 98 Formula this year, but it was very much a daily-driver.
MTI 434ci, hydraulic cam
6-speed (stock)
10.6s on motor with slicks
11.3s on 18" Pirelli tires
3625 lbs (no weight removal at all)
Full A/C, all power accessories, custom leather
24 mpg on the highway
525 rwhp thru cutout, 501 rwhp thru 3" slp catback
The new owner even flew down to Houston from Kentucky and drove the car back home, where it is currently his daily-driver (only vehicle). He posts here as "CANNIBAL".
