Default A4 Highway Engine Stress

This had been on my mind since I cruised up to the Speed Inc open house (which was TOTALLY BADASS),.... but..... I was towards the end of the cruise line on the highway doing about 60mph in my 02 A4 ws6 @ 1800rpm...now to keep up with the front runners id have had to push 2k~2200 rpm....and the cruise intervals were about 15 minutes......would that be bad for my engine/trans?...sorry to sound like a newb but I baby the **** outta my car and rarey even hit 2krpm....

driving from oklahoma city to atlanta i keep the rpm's over 3000 the entire time (excluding stopping for gas). that is with 3.73's and for around 10-14 hours... 2200 aint anything to worry about...as long as you have oil in your engine

i had my a4 z28 @ about 3,200 rpm for over 3 hours on the way the st. louis - these engines will take a ton of abuse. then i did it again the next month for roughly 2 hours on a trip to ohio.

then a trip to evill with a bad lockup clutch was 3-4k constant...and i made a few passes at chandler and drove back to indy haha.

No way. That LS1 is barely breathing at that RPM.

when your first breaking an engine in you want to vary your revs every now and then but im sure you didnt just build yours so your fine.

The only thing bad about cruising that high is, efficiency.
