Default oil in the intake should I use a catchcan?

I have a few question that I need some help with my dd.

1) I took my lid and maf off and ran finger on the inside of the TB and I hae all kinds of oil onthe inside. So should I put a catchcan on it or what would be the best thing to do. I heard the LS6 PCV can actually make more power is this true? I don't know anything about these things so anything helps.

2) I put on the LS6 intake and block off the EGR and was thinking about do the same with the air. Will this add horse power or is it just a weight reduction? If you can send some links or pictures that would be great.

I installed a ls6 valley cover...it helped alot and cleaned up the engine bay a little because you ditch all the stock pcv lines from the valve covers

The LS6 pcv took care of my problem on my old Z28. I have never been a fan of adding more stuff under the hood.

I have added a catchcan and two inline seperators after. I don't get any notable oil now ;D

I was using a filter on the oil filler cap and PCV delete but got tired of the oil dripping down on to my headers. I just installed my REV extreme can and it is a bit larger than I expected but seems to do a great job.

It is an excellent product, I'm going to be carrying them as well now. SO now you can either get a hold of Tracy at RevXtreme of contact myself to get one of these great catch cans.

Is there any other way for oil to enter the intake other than the PCV line at the TB?

Have you tried running the redesigned PCV valve? I believe it's a 12562717, it may be 1257xxxx. Anyway it is pretty much a flow through design that was made to fix the oil consumption problem on the 6.0L's. I'm running it on a 408 with 11.1, and a crankcase breather with no blow by.
