Default Mufflex hanger

Well i bought the mufflex hanger tring to get the y pipe to stop banging. But i cant find where this damn thing hooks up at. I got underneath my car and tried to find the 10mm bolt that was on a heat shield and i just cant find it. Im pretty mechanically incline i just cant locate it. Any ideas?

I haven't seen one of these mounted...contact Mufflex maybe they can email you a picture of the mount installed

anybody know? I did contact him and they had some guy try to run back and forth between a technician and myself. He didnt know himself. Im sure it's pretty easy to find. But i have this shitty jack that doesnt go up too terribly high. So its hard to get in and really look.

There's no way that stupid little hanger can keep a motor from moving. Even if it stopped moving the pipes around, the motor is still moving. So where the header collectors meet at the pipes, there moving and could cause leaks.

It's not made to keep the motor from moving, it helps control the torqueing of the y-pipe. It's not supposed to be a replacement for motor mounts.

exactly the motor is moving, and the pipes aren't = leaks

get it done the right way and get motor mounts. yeah there a bitch but the reward is well worth it
