Default Need help

I just got a 2002 z06. It is stock except for the borla exhaust. I was looking at pro-chargers, but the LS6 motor has high compression. Would that be a waste of money?

I was also looking at heads and Cam. Would that produce the same power as a Pro-charger.

Both i would love to get but i can not becasue of money reasons. Appreciate your help.

It is possible to put a supercharger on a high compression engine, but it will only handle a small amount of boost. You could get a set of stock LQ9 heads which have the same ports as LS6 heads with a larger combustion chamber to bring compression down without sacrificing flow. Heads and cam can make a similar amount of horsepower, but the supercharger will make way more low end torque.

I would recommend lots of searching to see what kind of results people are getting from supercharging and heads/cam packages. Check out the forced induction section and dyno results sections.
