Default Getting some Hoosier 315/35/17 Drag Radials

Haven't heard much about the hoosier drag radials on here and i just decided to order a set. I've had the bfg's in the same size and they were back order along with the mickey thompson's and I didnt want to wait any longer for a set of tires. I'llm post up and let everyone know how they compare to the bfg's.

Let me know if anyone has any experience with them.

Very nice tire!! Excellent traction just don't expect them to last very long at all...

I've had 3 sets of bfg drag radials and they have only lasted me about 2500-3000 miles a set. I also probably only went to the track a 2 times on each set. If they last that long ill be happy.

Wow i dont think i would buy then again if they only lasted 2500-3000 miles!! Especially with barely no track time. Jefro are you going to be running at the track much with these tires? If your just buying tires for the track your wasting your time with drag radials enless your affraid of breaking . Drag radial = automatics et streets/et drags = manual cars. You can run on the track with drag radials but your not gonna get a crazy 60 foot like you would with a tire that can handle the shock of 6 speed and can wrinkle instead of spin . The power your making and the fact that you have a 9in you should slap some good sticky et streets or et drags on there and leave hard Just my $.02

The car is mainly a street car. Its only been to the track a couple of times, so i am only buying the tires for the street. I did just have a set of 325/50/15 mt et street radials on there with the 4.10 gears and it hooked great, but i really didnt like how the car drove like a boat since i mainly drive on the street. I was hooking fine on the street with the 315 bfg's from any speed and any gear so i think i will be fine the hoosiers.

The Hoosiers will hook like crazy at the track but, for the street they wont last long at all!! We had them on my son's 01 Z28 and they feather really bad with street use. They really are not DOT legal for the street. Any water and you are skating all over.
But for the track they are awsome! Just my .02.

They have a DOT number on them but it does say not for highway use for competition only. So are they DOT legal. They do hook very well, but the sidewall is a little soft for me especially on the street.

Not sure if i am going to keep them if they aren't DOT legal, I wouldnt want the insurance company to walk away from anything and try and blaim it on a non street tire.

Anyone know??
