Default Hmmmm makes you think

How does this car with pretty much the same setup I have except I have AFR 205 Heads make more horse and Tq then my car? BTW this was taken from TTP website which did my set up as well and which was dynoed there as well..

My car only put about 428RWHP and 405tq. Thats a big difference when they are using stock LS6 heads..

2001 Camaro Z28 - 447RWHP/413RWTQ, TTP Equalizer V.3 Camshaft, Kooks LTs w/ Offroad X-Pipe, ASP Underdrive Crank Pulley, FAST 90mm Intake, Meziere Electric Water Pump, Stock LS6 Heads, Borla Catback.

You car has gears and it looks like the other car doesn't? Also are the cars a4 or m6. thoes 2 things could make the difference. Also tune and cam are a big part of that too.

Mines a M6, so it didnt lose anything in that respect, and both are using the same cam. Only real difference is he has a Meziere Electric Water Pump...shouldnt give him 20 more hp with stock heads...oh well my car bites.

With all varaibles taken into account. As well as different dyno's and weather conditions blah blah......The Z28 is just more of a factory freak if you will.

Despite the year difference. My car with Longtubes and a lid; (bare in mind my car is a 98) my car with those mods with a tune put down 327/340.

Now also an M6 like my car is my Dads 2001 Trans am, his put down showroom stock 335/343 same dyno back to back.

So bottom line, could just be the car. Such a thing can vary with cars.

The later year'ed cars put down more power. I notice that your TA is a 2000 the Z28 is an 2001. Just a thought. I'am not saying this is just with 2001's. I'am saying the later Ls1 models tend to put down more power. From what I've seen anyway.

My 2 cents.

The electric water pump, x-pipe true duals, and probably a stock 10 bolt will dyno significantly higher. Or maybe he had more air in his tires? Bottom line is, I wouldn't get to worked up over dyno results.

could be the cam. cams respond different to different heads . many production cams are made for stock heads . being you are running top of the line heads you might want to research or try a different cam . bigger does not mean better .
also i would interested to see both dyno charts . i bet your car is making more power at lower rpms than his . like dude said above dont worry about dyno numbers . you ar eputting down great power . i would check out the 1/4 mile times between the two cars .

You have a 12 bolt with 4.11 gears, does he? You need to account for every aspect of it if your going to compare the two.

I think I have less mods and made comparable power. My car has always been a freak, completely stock it did 327 and 345 torque.

You should look into your tune. Your car should run a lot faster with the mods you got. As for the dyno they are all different. Track times and MPH dont lie.

Different tuners, different dyno's, maybe someone is fudging the truth? Who knows, there is a million different variables, the only number's that matter come from the track

Different dyno's. My car has pulled 15 HP more on one dyno jet than on another. Infact one dyno jet in my area gave me lower numbers than a mustang dyno. All numbers were corrected. Comparing different cars on different dynos is meaningless. At those kind of power levels a 20HP difference is under 5%. Now if you compare two similar cars on the same dyno on the same day, then you've got something to think about.
