Default Need Comparison for Textralia OZ700 PLEASE HELP

I've heard nothing but good stuff for Tex single disk clutch. But I have NO clue the difference between the X & Z???? The X looks like full face on one side & sorta like a puck on the other side. Looks like a more more streetable clutch & the Z looks like a full puck style like the spec 3. I hated my spec 3 & dont want to make the same bad choice with a tex clutch.

My Car is a tuned .598 lift camed with headers & stock heads car with 150 shot TNT the spec 3 held the power But was a nigthmare to drive. The car is an 01 vert & weighs around 3600 lb with driver.

Please Help with holding power between the X & Z & drivabilty between both.

Thanks,

Scott

I have a x grip. It is organic on one side and has a ceramic or bronze looking material on the other. It is a little firmer than stock(not much) and holds great on a stock 99 ss. It has seen the drag strip. It is rated at 550 to 600 and the z grip(puck style) is rated for 700. I was told if I was going to put Drag radials on and spray it the z grip would be a better choice and if it is going to go to the track repeatedly. Got mine through Byun and talked to tex directly after the install. Great customer service.

If you're going to track the car on the bottle, get the Z-grip. It's a little less "slip-friendly" (although still a breeze to drive), but will hold power-adder and high hp launches better.
