there was a thread a while back compairing all of the intakes and such, and to give you a summery, they said that they all are basically the same, there really isnt a set number with any of these intakes, you basically turn the boost up more to make more power, the thing though with all these diff intakes is that XXX intake will require XX amount of boost MORE than if you were using ZZZ intake to reach the same amount of hp. but they all will flow

i know i suck at explaining it so i'll look for the thread, it was PAGES long, good read though

ranking of the intakes in fi would be
1. single plane
2. ls2/ls6 (they are pretty comparable)
3. ls1
4. lsx/holley - (they are both pretty crappy)

the ls1 will limit you a tad in the high end, but i wouldnt worry about it to much.

The Aussies have run mid-low 8's at 165mph or so in one of their drag Ute's on a stock LS6 intake and TB with a Vortech YSi motor.

If you have thousands into a turbo kit/fuel system, and drivetrain.......why would you skimp on a $300 LS6 intake?????? Throw your LS1 intake in the trash and buy and LS6.

Mittymouse made some decent power through an LS6. I agree an LS6 is a smart investment.
