Default 9" tq arm bracket failure

Any of you guys ever had this happen? Hope I can get a new bracket from Moser! This was a big $$ hit

hmm looks like an older version of the Moser torque arm bracket.. and it appears someone tried to weld onto it? Mine is all one piece..

definately an old piece , new ones have more material on the compression side adding in the dispersion of forces across the bracket. sorry to hear about your situation maybe they will let you upgrade to the new bracket for cheaper

The only welding done on it was done by Moser. The early pieces were hand built and appeared to be overkill(but I guess not!). We have the new cast piece on our other cars. I've had this one since 98. I'll call them Tuesday and see if they'll do anything for me.

Those welds looks $hitty... however fault can be delt a few different ways poor design poor MFG but something like that dosent happen overnight its important to inspect critical suspension componets from time to time... its 10 years old... dont really know how many launches or miles are on it... You can find places that will Magnaflux componets for far less than the price of a new car or even one ET street

This part was removed and inspected 12 passes ago. I keep up with this stuff as I race this thing atleast two times a month. I know it's 10yrs old that is why I have no problem with buying a new piece as long as they will sell just the bracket.

Lol, don't make it sound like I don't keep a check on things. It just failed all at once. I heard a pop at the top of 1st just as the shift was coming and then a huge boom as it broke at the shift.
