Default MTI G-1 Vs. X-1

Hey guys. I will sonn be doing headers, cam, underdrive pulley, and MTI 2-e heads. I want the car to stay really street friendly. I really like the driveability of the G1 cam from MTI plus it makes great power. How does the x1 compare as far as power and driveability goes? Thanks

Search posts of a member called Mr Tosh. He has that cam in his 04 Impulse Blue Metallic GTO. I can recall reading old posts raving about the X1 cam.

im running the X1. it is very drivable. the 2E/X1 is a popular tried and true setup. the X1 made 395rwhp on stock heads, no pulley with crappy 2.73 on my auto. i just posted a soundclip of the X1.

That's me.... I love the cam. Pulls pretty hard and has plenty of torque under the curve. Gonna be putting some PRC 2.5 5.3's on it this next month. I'll do a dyno run pre and post head install...

I have the x-1 in stalled auto. Very streetable, great power and you'll love the torque you gain. Sounds badass as well. Ill be doing mti 408 setup soon but would definitely recommend the x1. They are also doing a ported special on the heads right now and with the intake setup supposedly gets you around 430rwhp.

Sorry I thought this thread died. I have read pages of people saying the reverse split on the x-1 was bad or something. Just wanted to hear from someone who actually had it. Thanks

look up beardWS6, jaSSon, wilwaxu!! those guys all ran 10's with the X1. stock blocks too man.. reverse splits like the X1 and TR230 are killer for street cams. im running the X1 and it is very drivable. but havent ripped on it yet though. everybody i know that has ran reverse split cams all have not been disappointed.
