Default Another JoeyG and Oaks N20 Install (pics)

Thanks, guys! Figured I had better spend some time over here. Lots of Nitrous info.

Still have some wire and mount cleanup to do in the back:

Fantastic help from Beer, Steve C., Matt @ Harris, Shannon, & Dynotune (window switch & ash tray panel).

Looks good. Is that the center compartment that you mounted the cylinder in?

Yes, it's a hidden installation when the center compartment cover is in place.

I would guess its a wet kit that has a blue ended n2o line standing in as the fuel line. End result is the same just dont mix em up.

It's installed, but I haven't put the system to use yet. I'll definitely follow up when I know more. Gotta get to the dyno and wideband to look at a/f.

Looks better over here compared to over there, lol. Still a nice set-up and the way to go dry these days, plate and Interface.

Here's the first pull on the dyno. Much tweaking afterwards.

There is a false knock happening (2-2.5 degrees) at throttle tip in and it lasts from 3.2k to around 4.4k then goes away. I'll need to go over the logs and see if theres a table I might have fat fingered. The interface is a pretty cool piece when you use it to its full abilities. The big torque hit was because of 1100psi bottle pressure. Torque leveled out to mid 430's. Just need to go and figure out the timing issue. Only had about 17-18 degrees for most of the run. I let off the throttle at about 5800 that run. Inj duty cycle is around 90%

Well I guess the 97 degree inlet temps wouldn't help also. Looking over the logs looks like there was some more to be done with this kit Timing and fuel correction.. Jeff and I will fix the little problems and hopefully make some more runs shortly. Picked up 10hp and 3tq peak power and 25ish hp/26ish tq in the midrange tweaking the stock tune. Car only has a blackwing and some 2.5" catback system on it also.

Sounds as if your making progress. It must be some false Knock? Running 17/18° timing is pretty low, unless your at the 250rwhp or above level (a 22/24° setting would be better for your overall hp level)? So, getting the timing figured out, IMO, adding some back for the smaller hits, would add to the overall power numbers in the entire curve. That's the level I have for a combined 6xxrwhp shot, 18°. Anyway, I am sure you will get things sorted out, and keep us updated. That lean spike at the end of the run may be an indicator that your your running out of fuel pump, and/or as simple as a filter? 90% DC is nothing to worry about at all, and a short ¼ mile run will have no real effect on Inj longevity. But if upgrading fuel system anytime soon, maybe throwing a set of injectors on would be a good move.

Running 23.5 degrees (12.8 a/f) N/A with no issues. It's just when the dry hit happens theres 2-4 degrees of knock occuring. I even reloaded the tabes down to 17 degrees timing and still got the knock on the nitrous initial hit. The HSW interace is set to 125hp jetting and 1 degree of retard, changing the retard setting and fuel setting semed to have no effect on the initial retard. I kept adjusting fuel in to compensate (never below 10.8 air/fuel) and trying to level the measured fuel out and get rid of the inital knock seemed like a futile attempt. The high **** IAT's (95+ and high 70% humidity) probably didn't help. I'll work on it later this week as Jeff is just cruising it around and enjoying his under the peak gains right now.

One other note is this was my buddies import shop dyno. I dynoed my 416 on it and made like 498hp/488tq. Then went to another local dynojet 2 days later, same tank of 91 oct gas, same tune, same weather conditions and made 546hp/532tq
