Cool 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 en route to dealers

The first 1,000 special edition Challengers have already been built, and they're en-route to a dealer near you. For those of you that won't be getting your Hemi-powered muscle car in the first wave, you won't have to wait long, either. Every SRT Challenger will be produced by the beginning of July, which means Woodward should be full of good-looking retro coupes come August. If you want a 6.1L Challenger, you're going to have to hit eBay or wait for 2009, because all 2008 models have been spoken for.

The Challenger has been one of the few pieces of good news surrounding the Pentastar of late, and a hot product couldn't be coming at a better time. We know gas if $4 per gallon and V8 muscle cars aren't exactly what the doctor ordered, but we're probably just as excited as the 6,400 Challenger SRT8 owners to get behind the wheel of this future classic.

I would post up more pictures but my computer is running terribly slow

It would be even better to be beating them on the road, cuz they paid a huge premium to get them that early.

Imagine, 45k-50k brand new SRT-8 Challanger, and you get smashed by a 15k F-body.

Ive already seen several on the road unmasked. But that was a couple months ago. I saw a black srt8, and a silver srt8 challenger driving with a red srt8, and black srt8 chargers down i5-North while I was going S, and then another silver srt8 challenger on roscoe, and lankershim. Gorgeous cars in person.

I can't wait to ruin their days(as well as any other higher priced 'muscle' car). They're going to ask what the whistle noise is under the hood and I'm going to tell them is a vaccum leak.

Information specs, and unveiling video

Comparison with the Mustang Bullet with Video

Heres a video on it, and all the specs. And yes the SRT8 model is weighing in at around 4200 LBS.

Hey wait, it has the AutoStick (manual override)...

I read awhile ago they had a stripped down track model that was 6-800 pounds lighter. I'll find the link.
