I have had my Borla for a while now and I want something new.

My Borla has an electric cut out where the plates would go so it's fun playing with the sound but I'm wanting something that has a good deep nonraspy tone to it.

Any thoughts??

magnaflow has the tone your looking for with no rasp... but it's a little on the quiet side IMO

hmmm...

See I love the sound of my cam but I don't feel like the borla is showing it off good enough. I open the cutout and it's loud but when I hit 2000-2700 RPM I sound like a farm truck with loud *** glass packs. I hate it.

GMMG sounds good, but I'm about to the point of selling the borla and just running a single bullet or something off the Y pipe..

Have the magnaflow with a cutout as well.

I love the sound.

i have stock headers with stock cats and a custom y with bullet mufflers and mine is loud. once i put headers on it will be a different story. with bullets its quite loud.

then get a 3" powerstick muffler and run it off the ypipe. Use the longest one that will fit for best sound.

Yeah the rasp is a sumbitch on these cars. 3 exhaust's later i'm pretty happy with the corsa...i put a dynomax bullet in the I-pipe to cut down on the rasp. Has a mellow sound to it at idle and screams at WOT I was leaning toward the magnaflow but found a used corsa system on here for 500

All the rasp comes from the Y pipe. As the exhaust gases go from each pipe into the single pipe they "slap" together creating the rasp noise???

The y-pipe doesnt help and i've read the all aluminum engine makes it sound different.

I like the magnaflow, you wont get the rasp with it. At least, I dont have any rasp.

you guys are crazy, Magnaflow has the most rasp ever..

i am getting rid of my TDs (H pipe and 1 chambers) going with a y pipe and either GMMG or Corsa

Corsa is best, no rasp looks awsome and has a sweet selection of tips.

^^ 3.5" and i know two guys that have magnaflow with LT's and ORY. The one with heads and a cam is raspy as hell and the other has a good tone to it with hardly any rasp.

So I have been thinking about TD's with the borla mufflers but I don't feel like dealing with the ground clearnce problems and I havent really heard a great clip of them yet..
