Default Would these slow your car?

For a while I've been wondering why my cammed 400hp car seems so slow. Almost like stock. My track times are worse than stock.13.3@110. I ran 13.2 @108 stock with magnaflow and lid.

I've found, I had wheel hop. Now solved after bmr lcas and tokico's on 5. Speed increased a little.

I have a banging y pipe. I'm wondering if knock retard is really slowing the car because I have been walked away from by a stock C5 Z06 from a 40 roll. My car makes 50 more hp and only 200lbs heavier. stock weight with driver 3438lbs.

1. Can Knock retard really slow the hp down on the street but the car still make the numbers on the dyno?
2. Also, I have broken tranny mount.
3. Lastly does that little brace between the floor boards, that I removed because of my y pipe, actually make a noticeable diff.

fix the trans mount, and yes pulling timing (kr) will slow the car down

There were actually people who claimed to see knock retard from the poly trans mounts and therefore would not use them even on big power setups. (So YES, a banging y pipe will most definitely cause this, and the subsequent power losses )
I don't know if this (the poly trans mount thing) has ever actually been proven out over time or not??

Depending on your tune, the KR could be pulling 8-9 degrees of timing. If it's not pulling timing due to KR, it could be reverting to the low octane tables.

I'll get y pipe tack welded in the morning with a rubber bushel for flexing. This has got to be it because, my dyno sheet and a/f look ok, but the pipe doesn't bang on the dyno.

eh the poly trans mount can induce timing reduction? isnt the poly mount just that a mount? how would it cause KR or timing changes? just curious because i have a broken poly mount have had one for a while. i dont see anyway it would do that.

KR is an assumption right? Nothing has recorded KR correct?
My Y pipe bangs the floor bad and I see no KR running log files.

I have no idea where the talk about a poly mount came from. KR will effect your time, but you never said you HAVE KR.

The knock sensors detect engine knock by sensing vibrations. The sensor can't tell if the vibrations are caused by knock, a hammer hitting the block, or a broken mount banging around. If it detects "knock like" vibrations it will pull timming or convert to the low octane fuel tables.

Yea, its an assumption for me. All that I know is that I've always been a decent driver. My car puts down respectable power/torque on the dyno. However on the street the car seem to be dragging ***. I've bought a new ported throttle body... Didn't help. Then I figured that my horrible wheel hop was the problem. Bought new lcas and shocks. Car spins and takes off a little faster. but still dragging ***. So I bought 3.90s which whined after my first and only pull. They are being replaced as we speak. I'm also replacing the tranny mount while I'm there. If this doesn't work. It's got to be the cam. So G5X3 next week. My wife's bitching because she says I'm spending money chasing speed when the rest of the country is nearing a depression. I told her I'm depressed because my car's dragging ***!

3.90's from italy motive. They were fine for the first 500 miles, then whined very loud after one WOT from 2nd gear.

dude mine whined from day one from a reputable installer. I've launched hard on them though and don't mind the sound as I'm a gearhead so they're fine for me.

Thats pretty bad for motive that I guessed you had their gears

I'm betting the problem is the ypipe banging around. I had the same problem not long after I installed my long tube headers. Turned out I needed a tranny mount. I installed a poly one and haven't looked back. for the first week with the poly mount in I had some pretty strong vibrations but it went away and the car feels perfect.
