Default 265/40/18 or 305/35/18?

Ok I have a few hundred to spend before I go to the track. I mostly have done appearance mods, but it is time to see what shes got with my few performance bolt ons. I currently have 18x9.5 Z06 replicas with street tires on all fours. I ran across two good deals on a set of drag radials, 265/40/18 and 305/35/18. I would drive these from the shop to the track, run, and then back to the shop probably 300 miles total.

1. Would these fit?
2. If they fit would they mess up the ABS and such?

I know weight is going to be a major issue and I know what the sticky says but please answer the first two questions before you leave your opinion.

265/40= 26.3 x 10.4 Would work
305/35= 26.4 x 12.0 to widw doe 9.5 wheel
295/35= 26.1 x 11.6 max for a 9.5 wheel

Abs nothing to worry about.

Yea I figured the 305 would be to big. I have called a couple of shops and they said the 265 would work, but they claim that it would throw off my computer system. I know it throws off the speedo and I am not worried about that, they are only going to be on for a couple of days then I will go back to the normal size. Other than the speedo is there anything else I need to worry about in the computer system?

It will be only one inch taller so I know clearance is not an issue.

As long as you have ASR off it you will be fine. My friend put some shorter DRs on his car and if he went around a corner the low track light would come on and he couldnt hit the gas lol But with it off everything was fine.

ok i just made a call to discount tire and they actually said that the tires I have on right now 275/35/18 has a .7 of a difference than the stock. If I ran the 265/40/18 I am only off by .0x, i didn't write downt he correct number, from stock rate. They also said the 305 would def not work.

275/35 = 25.58 x 10.83
265/30 = 26.35 x 10.40 would be great Think you found your tire!! You have nothing to worry about! They would look the same size not enough to be able to tell
Good tire calculator
